God’s Promises.
In this world, nothing is permanent. The weather changes, people change, jobs change, friends change, but God never changes. We can always trust in His promises.
Lately I know I have been struggling with believing in God’s goodness and promises. But today I watched church and it really helped me. It helped me see that God is good even when life isn’t. God is faithful and He keeps His promises.
God never promised we would have an easy and predictable life. God never we wouldn’t have trials and horrible circumstances. God never promised He wouldn’t give us more than we can handle. God does give us more than we can handle so we can come running to Him.
Here is what God did promise:
God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1)
God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5)
God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13)
God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2)
God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4)
God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9)
In this world, we can’t always count on people or good circumstances. But no matter what life throws at us, we can always count on God.
What are you waiting for? Go running into God’s arms today!
Verses:
‘”We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: “ ’You are my son; today I have become your father.’ God raised him from the dead so that he will never be subject to decay. As God has said, “ ’I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’ ‘ Acts 13:32-34
“‘If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.'” Galatians 3:29
“‘I love you, Lord , my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. You, Lord , keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop ; with my God I can scale a wall. As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.'” Psalm 18:1-2,28-30
Prayer:
Dear God,
I believe in you. I trust in you and your promises. Even if right now I am struggling with trusting you, I pray you help me trust in you. Help me build a strong, real, and personal relationship with you. I don’t know all the answers God, but I trust that you do. So please help me become close to you, put my faith, trust, and hope in you.
I thank you for all my many blessings, for Your promises, and for Your Son.
In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!
