Surrender all to Jesus

Surrender all to Jesus❤️💜💖

Verse: “Cast your burden on the Lord [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).”

Psalms 55:22

Surrender all to Jesus.

Hey everyone. So I am sure you saw where I have been taking a break from writing. I decided to take a break because I felt like I wasn’t writing about God but only writing about myself. So I want to say sorry to all of you because I haven’t been writing with the focus on God but instead I focused on myself and my pain. But now I am back and I am feeling much better! God has really been helping me and now I feel I can write to please Him.

Today I wanted to talk about surrendering all to Jesus. Sometimes when we trust God something but not everything. It’s like trusting God with your finances but not trusting God with your marriage. When that’s not what God wants us to do. God wants us to surrender and trust Him with EVERYTHING: our doubts, fears, anxieties, pain, health, finances, marriage, work, school, kids, family, friends, and so much more.

So how do you surrender all to God?

I am so glad you asked! You surrender all to God by seeking God through prayer and saying something like: “God, I want to surrender everything to you: my life, my dreams, my health, my family, and everything. I give you EVERYTHING! I cast all my cares to you Lord. I trust you with everything. I surrender all to you Jesus my amazing Savior.”

Then you get to relax and now that God is in control. You get to watch as God starts to work in your life and you get to see some amazing things happen. Because when you surrender and trust God, good things will come and happen because good things come to those who love and trust in God (Lamentations 3:25).

But remember that you still have to continue to seek God by reading His word, worshiping Him, listening to Him, and talking to Him. As you seek God, He will draw near to you (Psalm 125:1-2).

Even though surrendering all and trusting God is scary and can be tough, remember that with God on your side, you can do anything! (Matthew 19:26)

Prayer:

Dear God,

God, I want to surrender everything to you: my life, my dreams, my health, my family, and everything. I give you EVERYTHING! I cast all my cares to you Lord. I trust you with everything. I surrender all to you Jesus my amazing Savior. I know that you are so good even when life isn’t. I know that you hear me and you will help me. I believe that good things for coming for me because you have promised good things to those who trust in you. I praise you for your goodness, mercy, and love.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

Hey everyone! It’s so good to be back! I hope you really enjoyed this! Thank you so much for reading and supporting me. Your support means the world to me❤️ I love you all!❤️💜💖

Trusting God

Trusting God

Verses: “’He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. I will say of the Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!” ‘

Psalms 91:1-2

Even though getting fibromyalgia was horrible. I believe it truly brought me closer to God. I had been in a relationship with God before fibromyalgia. But we weren’t close and I didn’t trust in Him. But in the last six months, I have finally surrender my life to God and put my trust in Him. Because I knew I couldn’t do life without God. I was alone, sad, hurting, in pain, so I put my faith, hope, and trust in Christ. Now I am going to be a pastor. God is truly amazing!

Trusting God happens when you surrender your life to God. You surrender everything to God: all your hopes, dreams, fears, anxieties, doubt, sadness, and give God complete control of your life. This happens through prayer as you pour out your heart to God, He will listen and be there for you (Psalm 121:1-2). Then you continue to seek God by reading His word, listening to Him, worshiping Him, and praying to Him.

This will take some time but just remember that trusting in God is an action not feeling. When things are going wrong in life you have to choose to say: “I may not understand why this is happening but I am putting my faith, hope, and trust in God because He is: good (Psalm 31:19), faithful (Psalm 33:4), loves me (John 3:16), and He has an amazing plan for my plan (Jeremiah 29:11).”

You can’t just say this once and be done. You have to continue to say this, seek God, and surrender your life to God. Because trusting God is a process but you can do it! It is so worth it because a good relationship with God is the best thing you can ever have. So keep seeking Him and soon you will shine!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I want to surrender me and my life to you. I want to trust you Lord. So I pray that as I seek you and surrender everything to you, that I become close to you. I pray that I build a strong and close relationship with you. I believe you are completely trustworthy. I put my faith, hope, and trust in you because you are good God. You are my Lord and Savior. I believe in you! I believe you hear me and you will help me. I thank you for listening to me and for all your love and goodness.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

The crown of life!👑

The crown of life!👑

Verse: “’Blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.’”

James 1:12

On Monday I will be following my dreams and going into the school of ministry! Thank you for all your prayers, I am truly excited!

Maybe right now, you are really struggling. Maybe you are battling mental illness, chronic illness, cancer, or maybe you lost a loved one. No matter what you are facing, God is here to help you through it and He promises you a crown of life that never fades away (James 1:12).

I don’t know what storm you are facing right now but I do know that you can get through. No matter what you are facing: God is bigger, mightier, and stronger than anything we will ever face!

He has also promised us that He will always be there for us (Psalm 121:1-2). So we can always go to Him by seeking Him through reading His word, praying to Him, listening to Him, and worshiping Him. As we seek Him we will draw near to us (Psalm 125:1-2). He will be there to guide us, love us, comfort us, encourage us, listen to us, forgive us, and help us. He will give us everything we need to fight and win this battle (Matthew 19:26).

What is even more amazing about God is He promised us that after life, we get to go to heaven and have a crown of life (James 1:12). Once you have been saved and born again, you are accepted into God’s family and when you die, you get to go to heaven and party with Jesus (John 3:16)!

What amazing gift that Jesus has given us! Praise God! Thank you Jesus!

Prayer:

Dear God,

God, right now I am really struggling. I am facing a storm and I need your help. I pray that you grab my hand and help me through it. I know that with you on my side Lord, I can do all things. I ask that you bless me with everything I need to fight this battle and win! I also want to thank you Lord for your promise of the crown of life. I want to thank for your gift to the world of Jesus and for me going to heaven when I die. I thank you for all your love, goodness, and mercy.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

How to overcome shame

How to overcome shame

Verse: ‘[looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Perfecter of faith [the first incentive for our belief and the One who brings our faith to maturity], who for the joy [of accomplishing the goal] set before Him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God [revealing His deity, His authority, and the completion of His work]. ‘

Hebrews 12:2

****trigger warning: I talk about my abusive boyfriend, I don’t talk about what he did but I do say abuse*****

For many years, shame was my friend. After finally breaking up with my abusive boyfriend, all I felt was shame. I left him when I was 16 and now as I am 21 I have finally learning to heal from all the pain he caused me. But I don’t have to live in shame. Jesus defeated shame when He died on the cross. You don’t have to live in shame either!

There is a difference between guilt and shame. Guilt is when you have done something wrong and you feel bad about it. Shame is when you believe something is wrong with you. Shame makes you want to run away from God because you feel worthless. You feel God could never love you. Those are LIES!

God loves you so much (John 3:16). God doesn’t want you to live in shame. He wants you to run into His arms by seeking Him through prayer. He wants you to tell Him everything you are feeling. He will be there to listen and help you (Isaiah 49:13).

Now just going to God once will not heal your shame. You have to continue to seek God by reading His word, talking to Him, listening to Him, and worshiping Him. Letting go of shame is a process and doesn’t happen overnight. But God will be there with you, every step of the way (Hebrews 13:5).

God will be there to give you everything you need to overcome shame (Deuteronomy 7:9). Because you can and will overcome shame with God by your side! Because you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Phillpians 4:13).

Prayer:

Dear God,

God, I am battling shame. I know I can’t overcome shame without you. So I pray that you come to me and help me. Grab my hand and walk through life with me. I need you Lord and I love you. I know that with you by my side, I can do all things. I ask that you bless me with everything I need to overcome shame. I praise you for your goodness, love, and never ending mercy. You are a good father. I thank you for listening to me. I believe that you hear me and that you will help me.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

How to have hope

How to have hope

Verses: “’O Israel, hope in the Lord ; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption.’”

Psalms 130:7

Since I have been listening and watching Joyce Meyer’s show and reading her books. I have realized that I have been thinking about hope the wrong way this whole time.

Joyce Meyer says: “Hope is not a feeling but an action. The action is to get out of bed everyday and say: ‘something good is going to happen to me today!’ For you to believe that and say that every single day.

I want to challenging you all and I will do it with you, that everyday as we get out of bed, we say: “Something good is going to happen to me today!”

So with this new year I am starting something exciting and I want you guys to do it with me. I am starting a gratitude journal and everyday I write down a couple of things I am thankful for that day. Then I spend the rest of the day looking for more positive things to write down tomorrow.

Hope is an action and to have hope we have to fix our mindset on God, His promises, and our blessings. Also we need to pray to God for Him to bless us with hope. But we have to do our part by seeking God through prayer, worship, reading His word, and listening for Him. God will draw near to you as you seek Him (Psalm 125:1-2).

I am challenging you all to start a gratitude journal, make time to seek God, and wake up everyday and say: “Something good is going to happen to me today!”

I will do it with you! So let’s kick this new year off right by seeking God and having hope!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I want to have an amazing new year Lord. I pray that as I seek you through prayer, worship, reading Your word, and listening for you that I grow closer to you. Help me to build a close relationship with you as I seek you. I pray that as I do my gratitude journal that it helps me focus on you, your promises, and all the blessings in my life. I pray that you renew my mind to where my eyes are always fixed on you. I love you so much. I know that you hear and I believe that you will help me. I thank you for your goodness, love, and never ending kindness. I praise you for your Son and the start of a new year!

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

Devotional: Big decisions

Devotional: Big decisions

Verses: “’Let me know Your ways, O Lord ; Teach me Your paths. Guide me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You [and only You] I wait [expectantly] all the day long.’”

Psalms 25:4-5

As you all know I have applied and interviewed to get into a school of ministry. They told me after the new year I should know if I have been accepted. Right now I am still have college classes scheduled for after the holidays. If I get accepted into school of ministry, I will have a big decision to make. Will I stay in college or go into school of ministry? I have been praying and praying for months. I have faith and confidence that God will lead and guide me.

Maybe you are like me and you have a big decision to make. Maybe you need to decide what major to pick, what classes to take in January, or what job you will go to. The best thing you can do is go to God and trust in Him.

God just wants you to go to Him so He can guide you and give you wisdom (Psalm 121:1-2). He will grab your hand and walk through life with you. He will be there to comfort you, guide you, love you, help you, be there for you, encourage you, forgive you, and all you have to do is go to Him through prayer. He will be there to listen to you as you pour out your heart to Him. As you seek Him by reading His word, listening for Him, worshiping Him, and talking to Him. He will draw near to you (Psalm 125:1-2).

In life we have to make decisions but we never have to make them alone. God will always be there to lead and guide you through life (Psalm 121:1-2). God will show you in His perfect timing what you need to do (Psalm 33:4).

Let’s go to God today!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I have some big decisions to make Lord, so I am coming to you. I am asking you to grab my hand and show me what to do. I know that with you by my side, I can do anything. So I ask that you bless me with wisdom and guidance to make the right decision for your will. I praise you for your mercy, love, forgiveness, and goodness. I know that you hear me and I believe you will help me. I put my faith, hope, and trust in you Lord.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

How to fight the Devil: Devotional

How to fight the Devil!

Verses: “‘By this I know that You favor and delight in me, Because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me. As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And You set me in Your presence forever. Blessed be the Lord , the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting [from this age to the next, and forever]. Amen and Amen (so be it).'”

Psalms 41:11-13

How to fight the Devil!

In life, we got through trials and storms. Going through any trial or storm is really rough and really test your faith. Sometimes you may feel like you want to give up. Maybe you are struggling with depression and with the holidays coming up just makes everything worse. Just know that God loves you (John 3:16), He delights in you (Psalm 41:11-13), His favor is for you (Psalm 41:11-13), this storm won’t last forever (Psalm 37:4-5), and The Devil will not win! (Psalm 41:11-13)

We as Christian have to know that we have any enemy and he wants to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

So how do we fight the Devil?

1. For you to know what God thinks about you and to believe what God thinks about you.

It’s really easy when we are struggling with depression to feel hopeless and worthless. But when we are struggling, we need to turn to the word of God, and know what God thinks about you

Here is what God thinks about you:

You are beautiful. (Psalm 45:11)

You are unique. (Psalm 139:13)

You are loved. (Jeremiah 31:3)

You are special. (Ephesians 2:10)

You are created with a purpose. (Jeremiah 29:11)

You are cared for. (Ephesians 3:17-19)

You are lovely. (Daniel 12:3)

You are precious. ( 1 Corinthians 6:20)

You are strong. (Psalm 18:35)

You are important. (1 Peter 2:9)

You are forgiven. ( Psalm 103:12)

You are protected. (Psalm 121:3)

You are chosen. (John 15:16)

You are mine. (Isaiah 43:1)

We always have to believe about what God says about us. We can’t just read this and not believe it. How to believe it is to study and meditate the Bible on verses about God thinks about you.

2. To seek God even when we are struggling. We need to seek God by: reading the Bible, worshiping Him, talking to Him, and listening to Him.

Even when we feel horrible we don’t need to turn out back on God. We need to seek God and He will draw near to us (Psalm 125:1-2). When you seek God, God will: God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1) God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5) God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13) God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2) So seek God even when you are hurting!

3. When you feel like being mean or hateful, be kind and give to others. Kill the Devil with kindness! Show the love of God!

When the Devil is attacking you, go help someone else. When you feel like being mean and hateful, be kind and nice. Since the holidays are coming up, lots of people are in need. You can help them by volunteering somewhere or donating money. I know I can’t physically volunteer somewhere so I donate my crocheted blankets. Just show kindness when you are at the store. Smile at people, be friendly, be kind, and that is how you can defeat the Devil. Kill the Devil with your kindness and by showing the love of God!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray that as I seek you that you draw near to me. I pray that as I study your word about what you think of me, that I believe in your word for my life. I pray that I defeat the Devil by being kind and showing your love to everyone around me. God I need you and I want to be close to you. I pray that you come grab my hand and walk through life with you by my side. I praise you for your goodness, love, and mercy.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!
