Devotional: Burnout

Burnout

Verse: “God says, ‘I have given rest to the weary.'” Jeremiah 31:25

Do you feel exhausted? Barely making it through each day? Tired, worn out, and just unhappy?

If you are feeling ANY of those things, you have come to the right place, and that place is: at the feet of Jesus. Jesus can give rest to the weary. He can give strength to the weak. Jesus is here to help you.

When I got back from my trip from staying with my granddad, I was exhausted and felt burned out. But after sleep a while, resting, and resting in God’s word. I started to feel better. It’s easy to get burnout. But you just have to take the time to rest, sleep, and rest in God’s word.

No matter what your circumstances are: you can find hope, peace, rest, and love in Jesus. How? Just simply pray for it. Talk to God. He wants to be there for you. He knows your pain and struggles. He wants to love, comfort, heal, and help you. All you have to do is go to Him and He will wrap His arms around you.

Heaven rejoices when one of God’s children (aka YOU) comes to Jesus. So come home to Jesus! He will give you what you need. He loves you and is here for you.

If you feel burned out? That’s okay, because we are running into the arms of Jesus!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I am exhausted and I feel burned out. I am running into your arms. I pray you give me your rest as I rest, sleep, and read your word. I believe in you. I believe you love to give your children rest. I know I am your child. I know you will give me rest. I thank you for hearing my cries. I believe you will do what I have asked. I thank you for your love, goodness, grace, and rest.

I thank you for Your Son and for all my many blessings.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen.

Devotional: Control and Trust In God

Control and Trust In God.

Verse: “Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.” Psalm 143:8

Control and Trusting in God.

If you are anything like me, then you are a control freak. I make plans after plans, to do lists, and when things don’t go the way I have planned: I freak out. I used to be a really bad control freak until I was diagnosed with chronic illness because with chronic illness there are some things you can’t control. You can’t control how bad your pain will be that day, you can’t control how the weather will affect your pain, and you can’t stop the pain. But most importantly, I have learned to trust God. But before getting diagnosed with chronic illness it lead to me to a point where I couldn’t do life on my own anymore. I needed God. I put my faith and trust in God. Putting my faith and trust in God changed my life forever.

I don’t know what struggles you are going through or what been through but I do know that being a control freak never works out. Our plans for our lives, don’t work out.

Why?

Because God’s plan for your life is SO much better than your plan.

Because God says:

‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ‘

Jeremiah 29:11

We just need to put our faith and trust in God.

Why?

Because God promised us:

God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1)

God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5)

God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13)

God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2)

God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4)

God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

In this world, everything changes: the weather, people, plans, but God never changes. God is always good (Psalm 31:19). God is always in control and He has the best plans for our us. But we have to trust in Him and His plans.

Trusting God and giving God control to your life is like faith. Even though you can’t see God, you still know He’s there. But by seeking God you feel His presence, talk to Him, and hear him to talk to you.

But it takes a leap of faith to put trust in God and give God control of your life.

But I believe it will be the best leap you could ever make because once you jump, God will be waiting right there to catch you, love you, encourage you, comfort you, guide you, give you peace, give you grace, and give you everything you could ever need.

So take that leap! Jump into Jesus’s arms today!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I am taking that leap, I am jumping into your arms. I am giving you control of my life. I am putting my faith, hope, and trust in you. I know you are good. I know you have amazing plans for my life. I believe in you and all your promises. I believe you keep your promises. I believe you are good and faithful. So please wrap your arms around me and give me anything I need. Help me to build a close relationship with you by me seeking you. Please grab my hand and help me walk through life with you by my side.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

A list of things I have learned since I have been diagnosed with chronic illness

A List Of Things I Have Learned Since I Have Been diagnosed with chronic illness.

It’s been really rough getting diagnosed with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid disease. But I keep trying to make the best out of it. Here are my lessons learned:

1. People will leave you when you get sick even more so when you are chronically ill. Your true friends will stay by your side and help you through this.

2. There is NO SHAME in applying for disability, sitting in a wheelchair, or asking for help.

3. If you are young and sick, some doctors won’t believe you. But you still need to keep trying till you find a doctor who helps.

4. Never EVER give up! Keep going no matter how hard it is.

5. Being chronically ill makes everything exhausting, even sitting in a chair.

6. Hardly anyone truly understands being chronically ill. You understand if you have it and been through it. Or have had a close loved one been through it.

7. A chronic ILLNESS is a real ILNESS is NOT all in your head.

8. Not every treatment works for every patient, every patient is different. So just say: “well this helped my aunt who had it,” DOESN’T help because honey, believe me, I have tried it ALL.

9. Chronic illness makes doing housework ten times harder. Someday I hurt so bad I can’t do any house work.

10. Chronic illness doesn’t make you weak, selfish, or lazy.

11. It’s make you strong, powerful, and a WARRIOR! So keep on fighting Warrior!❤️

Devotional: Guidance and Wisdom From God

Devotional: Guidance and Wisdom From God

Verse: ‘Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.’

Psalm 119:105

Lately I have been feeling God’s call for me to go into ministry. I feel like I completely love doing my ministry: “Jesus Saves Ministry.” I would love to be pastor and share my ministry with the whole world. I know I will probably finish the two year I am at then go into a school for ministry. It’s scary and I never saw myself as a pastor. But it’s God will, so I am trusting Him for me to do well. I don’t have a big plan, but I am trusting God will lead me the way.

Maybe you are faced with a big decision. Maybe you just finished highschool and need to pick a college. Maybe you are going to college and need to pick a major. Or maybe you have graduated college and need to find a job. Maybe you just need some wisdom and guidance from the Lord.

How do you get guidance and wisdom from the Lord?

Before you make a big decision, pray about it. Talk to God about it and listen for God to answer you. It may take a while to hear from God but don’t leave God’s will out of your big decision. Pray to God for wisdom and guidance. God will grab your hand and lead the way. You just have to put your trust, hope, faith, and surrender everything to God. God will lead the way. God is the light and He will shine through you. (Psalm 119:105)

You don’t have to make this big decision alone. God would LOVE to help you! You have to open your heart and mind to let Him in. God will lead you in the right direction and show you step by step what to do. But you have to spend time with Him and trust in Him.

Just remember wherever God leads you, He will make a way from you. He won’t just tell you what to do then leave. God will never leave you and He will help you through this. Everything will work out if it’s where God is leading you.

I may not have all the answers about what I am going to do with my ministry calling. But I am trusting in God that He will show me what to do when I need to do it. I put my faith, hope, and trust in the Lord. Because God is good (Psalm 31:19). I know He has an amazing plan for my life. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Trust in God, lean on Him, and God will show you the way!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I am putting my hope, trust, and faith in you. I know I have a big decision to make and I can’t make it without you. So as I spend time reading your word, talking to you, and listening for you. I pray you speak to me and show me what to do. I pray for your guidance and wisdom. Because wherever you lead, I will follow. I am willing to do whatever you ask of me. Just show me the way Lord and I will follow with you by my side the whole time. Because I know you will never leave me. I trust in you.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your son

Devotional: How To Trust In God

How To Trust In God.

Verses: “’Take delight in the Lord , and he will give you the desires of your heart. Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Commit your way to the Lord ; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil. For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.’”

Psalm 37:3-9

I was reading the Bible the other day and came across this Psalm. I love it! It’s beautiful and it talks a lot about trusting in God.

I know I personally have trust issues and it has taken me a long time to put my faith, hope, and trust in God. But I finally have trusted in God, it was an amazing decision.

How do you trust in God?

You trust God to be God. You don’t lean on my own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5) Know that you won’t understand every circumstance and problems that you have. Make peace with that. Always know that God is good (Psalm 31:19). Always know that God loves you more than I can ever imagine. God loves you so much, He sent His one and only Son to die on the cross FOR YOU! Even if you were the only person on the Earth, God would still have sent Jesus to the cross to die FOR YOU because He loves more than you can ever imagine. (John 3:16)

Also trust in God’s promises, which are:

God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1)

God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5)

God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13)

God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2)

God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4)

God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

Sometimes it takes a while to put your faith, hope, and trust in God and that’s okay! Take your time but building a close relationship with God. You build a close relationship with God by: reading the Bible, praying, and listening for God.

I promise you, if you put your faith, hope, and trust in God, you won’t regret it!

Can I get an AMEN?

AMEN!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I am putting my faith, hope, and trust in you. Because I know you are good all the time, I believe in your promises, and I know you love me. I trust and believe in you. I pray I build a close relationship with you so I can trust you even more. As I spend time reading your word, praying, and listening for you, I pray it brings us closer together. I love you Lord and just want to be close to it. I surrender everything to you Lord and I know you will do amazing things.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

Devotional: What To Do When You Are Struggling

What To Do When You Are Struggling❤️

Verse: ‘Sing the praises of the Lord , you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. ‘

Psalm 30:4-5

I have some amazing news everyone: for the last two weeks my pain has gotten SO much better and has stayed better! Praise God! What has made my pain better was some pain medicines I have been taking. Praise Jesus! I am not pain free but my pain is SO much better. My pain is manageable and I love it! Thank you for all of you who have been praying for me, I am so happy to say I am better!

Maybe right now, you are struggling. Maybe you are struggling with work, school, chronic illness, mental illness, cancer, or you lost a loved one. No matter what you are going through: you can and will get through this. You may struggle but God will grab your hand and help you through this.

In this world, God knew we would struggle and have trials. But He has overcome the world and will help you overcome whatever you are going through. (John 16:31-33) God knew we would struggle but God’s joy, peace, love, and mercy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:4-5) You may struggle, you may fall, but God will uphold you with His right hand. (Psalm 37:23-24) God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2) God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5) God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13)

You can and will get through this. Whatever your “this” is, you can get through it with God on your side. God will grab your hand and help you through this. You don’t have to give up. God will give you His strength, His joy, His peace, His comfort, His love, His encourage, His grace, His mercy, and everything you need to fight this battle.

I have struggled for two years with my pain and though sometimes I really wanted to give up. God gave me the strength to keep going. God will do the same for you. No matter what mountain you are facing: you can climb it with God on your side. With God on your side, you can do anything!

Don’t turn away from God when you are struggling. Turn to God and let Him help you through this. It’s really easy to want to run away from God when you are struggling. But instead press into God: read His word, pray, and listen for Him.

I know life is tough but God is tough.

God is good even when life isn’t.

Keep going and never give up!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I am struggling right now. But instead of turning away from you, I am turning towards you. I pray you give me everything I need to fight this battle with you on my side. Please grab my hand and help me through this. Because with you Lord, I know I can do all things. I know I can overcome this storm with you Lord because you are greater, stronger, and mightier than anything I will ever face. You are good even when life isn’t. So grab my hand, and let’s do this!

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

I hope you enjoyed! I love you all❤️

Devotional: How To Hear From God

How to hear from God.

Here are my tips on how to hear from God:

  1. Pray

When you pray to God, be honest and open. If you are struggling with anything, let God know that. Ask Him questions, and just talk with Him. I also try to pray throughout the day but here’s a tip that I shared with my podcast listener: pray while you are brushing your teeth because you have to brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes. So just pray to God while you are brushing your teeth, when you are driving (be sure to focus on the road still), or write down your prayers. Just be sure to pray everyday!

2. Reading The Bible

If you haven’t heard from God in a while, have you been reading His word? Reading the Bible is one way that God speaks to us. So be sure to read it most everyday (I didn’t say everyday because life is busy) but make time to read His word. God speaks through His word, so have you been reading it enough to hear from Him? If your answer is no: start today!

3. Sit still and listen

Just relax your thoughts, get in a nice and quiet place, and just listen for God. One way God always speaks to me is when I am laying in bed at night trying to sleep because I haven’t been sleeping well so I just relax my mind and let God speak to me. If you haven’t been hearing from God, have you been listening? If not, spend time just listening to God.

God loves to speak to His children so spend time praying, reading your Bible, and listening for God. In God’s own timing (not your timing) God will speak to you and in His own way.

Those are my three tips and tricks, I hope you enjoyed!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray that as I start to pray, read your Bible, and listen for you that you speak to me. I believe and know that you will speak to me. I have faith and trust that you will. I will wait for you to speak to me in your own timing and not my own. I pray you let the Holy Spirit into my heart so I can hear from you. I pray you grab my hand and help me through life. I can’t do life without you Lord so be close by my side. I put my faith, hope, and trust in you. I love you Lord and I can’t wait to hear from you.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!
