Easter Special

Verses: ‘But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’ ” Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.’

Mark 16:4-7,14-20

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy this devotion.

Jesus is risen! Praise God! In the verses above, it shows how they noticed the tomb was empty and then Jesus talked to His disciples. (If you want to read the whole story, it’s in Mark 16).

Not even death could stop God’s love for you. Jesus went to cross to pay for our sins so we wouldn’t have to died a horrible death. But now because of Jesus, we can died and go to Heaven if we have been saved. I will do a whole another devotional on being saved. But the overview of being saved is surrendering your life to Jesus, say Jesus is King and Lord, and knowing you are a sinner.

Back to my point, my point is: death couldn’t separate us from the love that is in Jesus Christ. Nothing in this world can separate us from God’s love. No even Jesus dying on the cross because today, Jesus rose!

“’No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.’”

Romans 8:37-39

No matter what you are going through: nothing can stop God’s love for you. No matter how you are or what you have done, God still loves you and wants a relationship with you.

Jesus went to the cross and torn the veil so now we can have a real, personal, and close relationship with God.

God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1) God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5) God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13) God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2) God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4) God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

God loves you so much and just wants to be there for you. No matter what you are struggling: God can and will help you. I know right now, God is helping me. I know I can’t do life without God and no one needs to do life without God. God is here and He is ready to help you. All you have to do is come to Him. He waiting for you and can’t wait to help you.

Let’s remember today that Jesus is alive! Jesus is king! Let’s thank Jesus for what He has done for you. Let’s also remember that nothing will ever stop God from loving you. God loves you so much. So run into God’s arms and thank Him for Jesus!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I thank you so much for Jesus. For Jesus dying on the cross and for today how He rose again. I thank you that now because of Jesus, I can have a close, real, and personal relationship with you Lord. I am really struggling God. I am running into your arms. I pray you wrap your arms around me and help me with what I am struggling with. I need you Lord and I need your help Lord. I can’t do life without you so please grab my hand and help me through this.

I thank you for Jesus. I thank you for Jesus dying on the cross for me and for Jesus rising again. I thank you that now I am free to have a relationship with you. I thank you for what you have blessed me with and I am so thankful you Jesus.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

Hope

Hope

Verse: “O Israel, hope in the Lord; for the Lord there is unfailing love. His redemption overflows.” Psalm 130:7

Right now, maybe right now, you are not feeling so hopeful. With Covid-19 still going on and everyone being told to stay inside, it’s hard to feel hopeful. You may be feeling very anxious, overwhelmed, scared, sad, and so much more. But I want to encourage you that, even though everything in the world is changing, God is the same, today, tomorrow, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). In God, we can have unfailing hope!

One of my favorite writers and speaker Joyce Meyer says: “Hope is a positive expectation that something good is going to happen to me today.” I love that because if we wake up every morning and say: “I am going to have a good day today! No matter what happens today, I am putting my hope in the Lord!” This would change everything!

So how do you put your hope in the Lord?

1. Change and renew your mindset

To change and renew your mindset is something you can’t do by yourself. You have to seek God and ask Him to renew your mind. Then you have to start taking every thought captive. You do this by thinking about what you are thinking about. Let me explain, say you are thinking: “I feel worthless and useless.” You stop that train of thought and say: “Stop! I am a Child of God! I am loved by God!” You take every thought that doesn’t agree with the Bible and start thinking about everything that God says about you. Now this is going to take some time and practice. You will not change and renew your mind overnight. Everyday you will have to keep focusing on God and good thoughts. I promise you, you can do this! I am doing this with you! Just remember that in Christ nothing is impossible (Phillpians 4:13)

Here are some book that will really help you renew your mind:

Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer

Get out of your head by Jennie Allen

These books are both Christian Nonfiction books that I have read and I love them!

Of course read the Bible!

2. You trust in God

No matter what you are going through, you can always put your trust in God. Why? God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1) God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5) God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13) God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2) God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4) God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9) God is good. (Psalm 31:19) God will draw near to you. (Psalm 125:1-2) You can do all things through Christ. (Phillpians 4:13) With God on your side, you can do anything! (Matthew 19:26) God has an amazing plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11) God is for you and on your side. (Psalm 118:6)

4. Seek God

You seek God by: reading His word, worship Him, pray to Him, and listen to Him. You need to seek Him daily! Because the more time you spend with God, the more you will come to know Him. You will be able to build a close relationship with God. Having a good relationship with God is the best thing you can ever have. Because as you draw near to God, He will draw near to you (Psalm 125:1-2).

5. You surrender EVERYTHING to God.

You surrender EVERYTHING to God like your health, your family, your friends, your doubts, your fears, your sadness, your career, your school, your joy, and you just surrender your life to God through prayer.

You pray to God and ask for Him to bless you with hope.

Remember you have to do ALL these steps. In this step you pray to God and ask Him for hope. Then you continue to do all these steps everyday.

I know that is a lot of information and this sounds challenging. But you can do it! God will be there with you every step of the way! I am doing this as well! God will bless you with the strength to do all these steps and find true hope in Him.

Prayer:

Dear God,

I pray Lord that as I do all these steps that you bless me with your hope. I pray that you bless me with strength to do all these steps. I know that in you, I can do all things. So I pray that you bless with me everything I need to put my hope, trust, and faith in you. I pray you be with everything who is hurting right now. I know that even though this world feels out of control, you are still in control. I praise you for your goodness, grace, mercy, and unfailing love.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

Put your faith, hope, and trust in Christ❤️

Put your faith, hope, and trust in Christ❤️

Verse: ‘“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.”

Psalms 46:10

Right now, you may be feeling very stressed, sad, overwhelmed, and worried. You may feel like the world is falling apart due to Covid-19. But I want to encourage you that even though Covid-19 is here: the world may seem out of control, God is in control, and He is asking us to be still.

Even though right now is a really scary time, we as Christian need to trust in God, now more than ever. Why should you trust in God? Because God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1)

God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5) God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13) God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2) God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4) God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9) God is good. (Psalm 31:19)

Remember that God is stronger, mightier, bigger, and greater than anything we will ever face on this earth, even Covid-19. Just know that God is always beside you (Hebrews 13:5). If you are feeling scared, overwhelmed, sad, etc. That’s normal! Just when you feel anything, go to God! God will be there to help you (Psalm 121:1-2) and He will comfort you (Isaiah 49:13).

God also wants us to spend time with us. We can spend time with God by reading His word, listening to Him, turning on our favorite Christian music and worship Him, watch church online, spend time praying to Him, and spend time being still in His presence. Right now while you are probably stuck in the house all day, it’s a great time to grow in your relationship with God.

Just remember that with God on our side, we can do anything! (Matthew 19:26) So put our faith, hope, and trust in God today!

Prayer:

Dear God,

Right now, I am feeling very (fill in the blank) and I need your help. I pray that as I spend time seeking you that I grow closer to you. I pray that you help heal all those who are sick. I pray you are with all the workers still working during this illness and I ask you to bless them. I know that even though the world feels like it’s falling apart that you are still in control. I thank you for your goodness, mercy, love, and grace. I put my faith, hope, and trust in you Lord. I pray you bless me, my friends, and family with everything we need. Right now is a scary time but I know I can get through it with you by my side.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

Covid-19 Special

Covid-19 Special

Verse: “’When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.’”

Isaiah 43:2

My tips and tricks and making it through quarantine due to Covid-19. These tips will help you enjoy your time in your house instead of feeling anxious and worried.

1. Use your time to spend time with seeking God

If you are feeling bored to Covid-19, use this time to spend time with God. Spend time seeking God by praying to Him, reading The Bible, worshiping Him, watching church online, and listening for Him. Just use this time to build your relationship with God. Because I know that no one saw Covid-19 coming but we can make the best of a bad circumstance by growing closer to God.

2. Spend time with your family

Use this time being stuck at home to spend time talking with your family, playing board games with your family, watch tv with your family, and just spend time connecting with your family. I know it’s hard to be stuck at home all the time but we can use this time to grow closer to our family.

3. Spend time doing things you love and by taking care of yourself

Some things I love to do is read, write, crochet, watch tv, drink coffee, and pet my cats. So spend time doing your favorite hobbies. Also use self care because it’s easy to feel anxious and/or depressed so take care of yourself by: doing things you love, take a walk, take a bath, take a nap, and just take care of yourself.

4. Remember God’s promises for you:

God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1)

God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5)

God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13)

God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2)

God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4)

God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

God is good. (Psalm 31:19)

God will draw near to you. (Psalm 125:1-2)

You can do all things through Christ. (Phillpians 4:13)

With God on your side, you can do anything! (Matthew 19:26)

God has an amazing plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11)

God is for you and on your side. (Psalm 118:6)

God is all around you. (Psalm 125:1,2)

God never changes. (Hebrews 13:8)

Wash your hands and stay inside!

Prayer:

Dear God,

I am really struggling with anxiety and depression due to covid-19. I pray that as I spend time seeking you that I grow closer to you. I pray that even during this stressful time that I enjoy my time with my family. Please bless me with everything I need to face each day. Help me to grow closer to you and learn more about you. I love you Lord. I believe in you and I need you. I praise you for all your love, goodness, mercy, and grace.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

Trusting God during Covid-19

Trusting God during Covid-19

Verses: “God’s a safe-house for the battered, a sanctuary during bad times. The moment you arrive, you relax; you’re never sorry you knocked.” Psalm 9:9-10

Maybe right now, you are feeling pretty anxious and scared. I am sure if you have turned on the news then you have heard about covid-19. Right now where I live, all schools are closed, and everyone is told to stay at home. So right now more than ever, we need to trust in God.

Even though this crisis, God is still good (Psalm 31:19). So right now, we need to go to God by seeking Him through prayer, worship, listening to Him, and reading His word. We need to pour out our heart to God in prayer and tell Him how we feel. We need to share with Him our fears, doubts, and everything we are anxious about. God will be there to comfort you (Isaiah 49:13), listen to you, and be there for you (Psalm 121:1-2). As we seek God, He will draw near to us (Psalm 125:1-2). So we can use this time to stay home to spend time with God. We can build a close and real relationship with God.

We need to put our faith, hope, and trust in God. Why should we put our faith, hope, and trust in God? Because God is good (Psalm 31:19), He is faithful (Psalm 33:4), He has an amazing plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11), He is always there for us (Psalm 121:1-2), He loves you (John 3:16), and we can do anything with Him on our side (Matthew 19:26).

Covid-19 is pretty scary but we have an amazing God, who is mightier, stronger, bigger, and greater than anything we will face on this earth. With God by our side, we don’t have to live in fear! With God by our side, we can feel peace during this storm. Just go grab God’s grab and He will do the rest!

Prayer:

Dear God,

Right now in the world, things are pretty scary with covid-19. But I put my faith, hope, and trust in you Lord. I pray that you grab my hand and walk through life by my side. I pray you are with everyone who is sick and I pray that you heal them. I pray you bless me with everything I need to get through each day. I praise you Lord because you are so good even through this storm. I thank you for your love, goodness, and mercy.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen.

Trust in God

Trust in God

Verses: “’Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].’”

Proverbs 3:5-6

In this world, there are many things that happen that we as humans just can’t understand. Like death, illness, and very horrible things just happen to us in this world. The reason why I believe bad things happen to good people is because we live in a broken and fallen world. This world is not Heaven so bad things are going to happen. In John 16:30-33 Jesus talks about how we do live in fallen but take heart because He has overcome the world. So instead of doubting, questioning, or running away from God when bad things happen we need to put our faith, hope, and trust in Him.

There reason why as humans we can’t understand why bad things happen to us is because we are not God. We only see a part of the plan that God has for our lives. God sees the whole plan (Jeremiah 29:11) and God knows what is best for us (Psalm 31:19). God’s ways are higher than our way and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaish 55:9).

So we need to stop trying to figure out why bad things happen and just trust in God. Why should you trust in God? Because God is good (Psalm 31:19), He is faithful (Psalm 33:4), He has an amazing plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11), He is always there for us (Psalm 121:1-2), He loves you (John 3:16), and we can do anything with Him on our side (Matthew 19:26).

Instead of worrying, doubting, and questioning God, we need to seek Him through prayer, worship, listening for Him, and reading His word. In prayer we need to pour out our heart to God and tell Him everything. He will be there to listen to you and to help you (Psalm 121:1-2). Then you continue to seek God (not just pray once and be done, keep seeking God daily), He will draw near to you (Psalm 125:1-2).

So we don’t have to understand why bad things happen, all we have to do is go to God, and let God take care of us! So go to God today!

Prayer:

Dear God,

God, I don’t understand why bad things happen. But instead of doubting you or questioning you, I am running into your arms. I pray that you grab my hand and help me walk through life with you by my side. Because God, I can’t do life without you. I need you and I want to be close to you. So I pray that as I seek you that I begin to build a close relationship with you. I praise you because you are so good to me. Even when I don’t understand why things are happening, you have an amazing and good plan for my life. I know that with you by my side, I can do anything! I praise you for your love, goodness, and mercy.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!

Come to Jesus

Come to Jesus

Verses: ‘ “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.”’

Matthew 11:28-30

In this life, we deal with heavy burdens. We deal with finances, our health, sickness, mental illness, chronic illness, stress, work, school, etc. But it is so amazing that in Jesus, we don’t have to carry those burdens alone. We can go to the feet of Jesus and give Him all our burdens. How you do that is to seek God through prayer and tell Him everything. You pour out your heart to Jesus in prayer and He will help you (Psalm 121:1-2).

God will be there for you (Psalm 121:1-2) and He will love you (John 3:16). Then as you continue to seek God through prayer, worship, reading His word, and listening for Him, He will bless you with His rest (Matthew 11:28-30).

God will be there to comfort you, love you, guide you, encourage you, bless you, and give you everything you need. Because in Jesus, we can find everything we need! We don’t have to look to this world to find peace, love, and freedom. Because we can find peace, love, freedom, and so much more in Jesus (Isaiah 49:13).

I have been listening to the song: “Way Maker” and I love it. Here is some of the song: “You are way marker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness. My God, that is who you are!”

That is God! He is our way maker so let’s go to Him and we will find rest for our souls.

Prayer:

God,

Lord, I have many heavy burdens but I am coming to you to find rest for my soul. I give you all my burdens and I surrender everything to you Lord. You are my way maker Lord so I ask that you bless me with everything I need to face each day you bless me with. Help me to find rest and strength in you Lord. I praise you Lord because you are so good and your love is never ending.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.

In Jesus’s name, I pray, Amen!
